Planned Parenthood to Texas Women: Go to Colorado for Your Abortions

Texas is the first state to enforce legislation to protect unborn lives after a heartbeat is detected. This historic accomplishment is being celebrated by pro-life advocates all over the country.

Unfortunately, Planned Parenthood is now directing women from Texas to Colorado to get their abortions instead.

This isn’t the first time Planned Parenthood has encouraged women to cross state lines for their abortions.

In April of 2020, at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic when abortion was declared a non-essential service in Texas, women traveled to Colorado from Texas for their abortions.

Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains President Vicki Cowart bragged that out of the 250 abortions they performed for out-of-state women, just under 150 were for women from Texas.

“Abortion was put on hold [in Texas],” she said. “It was an effective ban on abortions in Texas.”

Now that abortions are effectively banned in Texas from the Heartbeat bill, women will travel to Colorado again.

That’s why we need your help to make sure lives are actually saved from abortion as a result of the Texas Heartbeat bill.
